| 11mm; Good bore, good stock, 7'' barrel, Manufactured in Germany by J.P. Sauer & Sohn, silver inlaid on top of each pistols barrel I.P. SAUER U. SOHN A SUHL. One pistol has a number 1 in silver inlay on the of the barrel breech, the other a number 2. Browned octagon barrels with twist finish, bright blue finish trigger guard and butt caps, casehardened lockplates and hammers, all with fine scroll engraving. Both pistols stocked in walnut. Hammer safetys. Fixed front sights with elevation adjustable rear sights using a key screw in the upper tangs. Both pistols are in near indentical condition, showing some thin finish, visible case color, with scattered minor-light surface spotting. Both pistols stocks show some wear and handling, pistol number 2 has a tight crack on the right side of the forend from the tip to the wedge plate. Both have a previous owners name lightly carved onto the stock flat opposite the pates. Both actions work fine. Sold as a pair only. Antique., |
