| 8x57mm; 87% blue, very good+ bore, good stock, 23.5'' barrel, Stamped on top of the receiver ring with the Sauer code "147" and date 1940. Original blued finish, laminated stock and handguard. Rifle is all matching including the action screws, band spring, complete bolt, buttplate. Stock markings are a bit faint, serial numbered on the bottom of the butt, eagle/H is legible, WaA proofs illegible on the right side. Handguard is not numbered. Eagle/swaz military acceptance marks located on the left side of the barrel and receiver ring. The right side of the reciever ring is stamped with one eagle/359 and two eagle/37 proofs. Right side of the rear sight base sleeve is stamped with three eagle/359 proofs. Small parts as well as the bolt are eagle/37 proofed. All milled parts, flat buttplate. Cleaning rod appears to be reproduction. No provision for front sight hood. No import marks. Bore is bright with strong rifling., s/n 40xxf |
