| 8mm Mauser; 80% blue, fair bore, good stock, 23.5'' barrel, Manufactured in 1945. Small ring Mauser "strengthened" action with original blue finish (some touch up on the left side of the receiver), mounted in a checkered walnut stock. Ramped front sight base missing the blade, fixed rear sight. The receiver has been drilled and tapped with Weaver #35 front and #25 rear scope bases installed, the bridge filed slightly for fitting the base. The left side of the receiver has three drilled and tapped holes for a side mount, since removed and the recess in the stock for the base filled. The bolt handle has been modified for scope clearance and the shroud safety has been removed, a right side mounted tang safety installed. Used, mechanically fine, the bore shows some wear and light corrosion in the grooves. C&R/FFL, s/n 825xx |
