| 16 Gauge; fair bore, fair stock, 27.25'' barrel, Later model 15 variation with the standard shaped trigger guard. 2 9/16 inch chambers with both chokes gauging Cylinder bore. The barrel have been shortened to length. Manufactured circa 1880s, with Damascus barrels, casehardened frame and mounted in a replacement rough finished walnut stock. Foral pattern engraved frame with hunting scenes on the lockplates. Missing the firing pins, one of the hammer screws is a replacement and the lower sling swivel is a fabricated replacement. The metal has worn mostly bright with light surface rusting overall. The stock fits fairly well and is tight, with a grain crack on top of the heel. The actions work well and the barrel lockup is tight. The bores have some pitting. SOLD AS IS for parts or display. Antique., s/n 48xx |
