| 8mm Mauser; 80% blue, very good bore, fair stock, 19.75'' barrel, Manufactured in 1951. FN commercial 98 Mauser action. Original blue finish, checkered beechwood stock. Barrel shortened to length without front sight. Rear sight blade removed. Receiver has been drilled and tapped, a Weaver #46 front base installed, rear base has been removed. Used, stock is a replacement from an earlier 640 variation with a crack behind the receiver tang and small cracks around the end of the butt. Sling swivels removed from the stock. Missing the grip cap. Bottom of forend has several hand carved lines and X's. Mechanically fine. C&R/FFL, s/n 624xx |
