| 10 Gauge; fair bore, good stock, 31 3/8'' barrel, Manufactured in England. Browned Damascus barrels, casehardened locks, mounted in a walnut stock with checkered straight grip, forend held with a single wedge. Border and light scroll engraving on the lockplates, trigger guard and steel buttplate tang. Ramrod present with one of the thimbles detached. Engraved on the side of each lockplate "HARRIS & CO" and on top of the barrel rib "LONDON FINE TWIST". The metal has turned mostly gray. There are small slivers of wood missing on each side of the forend along the upper edge, the right side having an old patch repair. The locks function however the tumblers are worn. The barrels are a bit of a loose fit in the stock. The bores have some pitting. Antique, |
