| 8x57mm; 50% blue, good bore, good stock, 23.5'' barrel, Gustloff manufacture, marked on top of the receiver with an eagle/749 proof over the code "bcd" and date 42. Eagle /swaz military acceptance mars located on the left side of the barrel and receiver ring. The top of the barrel chamber is stamped with three eagle/13 proofs and a star marking. Blued finish, laminated stock and handguard. Milled parts. Original cleaning rod and front sight hood. Numbered parts are all matching except the front trigger guard action screw, stock and handguard are mis-matched but match each other. Stock is unmarked externally except for a "C" on the bottom of the butt. Cupped buttplate. Band spring matches as well. The metal finish is worn and thinned with some dark rust spotting. Missing the two trigger guard small lock screws. No import marks. The bore is bright with fairly sharp rifling, however shows some corrosion in the grooves., s/n 82xxa |
