| Beautiful RAD Gorget, top quality as worn by standard bearers of the German National Labor Service, the Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD). Measures approx. 5x5 and made of lightweight nickeled finish, mounted on the center of the backing plate is the RAD emblem which features a swastika, a shovel, and sheaves of wheat. "Arbeit adelt" (Work ennobles), the slogan of the RAD, is engraved above the RAD emblem. The reverse features a backing cloth of finely woven black wool. There is a hook for affixing the RAD gorget to the uniform, it bears marking of D.R.G.M. with chain. Case is velvet (blue-purple) covered box, with WW2 era Police eagle aluminum shako insignia on lid with white inner lid liner. |
