CROSS GUARD: Dull nickel, misc. dents, scratches. HANDLE: Wood- Light brown, Many crescent indentations on back of handle and a few on front as well EAGLE INSIGNIA: Very Good details, very light ware. “SA” ROUNDEL: Light brown enamel, Chipping at 8-11 o’clock and 1-4 o’clock, POMMEL: Dull nickel, misc. dents, scratches, stamped “BO”, light patina. POMMEL NUT: Dull nickel, HEX EDGES: slight rounding, light patina, ROUND CAP: some light nicks, no tool marks. Scabbard: SA. Throat fitting- Dull Nickel, misc. dents, scratches Hanger ring has been broken and “repaired” with a large amount of solder. Body- Brown “Anodized” finish (80%) w/Lacquer top coat (2%), Some thinning, one indentation, One surface rust spot, Chape- Dull nickel, misc. dents, scratches. Finial- mushrooming on one side, light patina. Leather Hanger: Brown, w/Light cracking, Oval buckle, Nickel hardware light patina. |
