| 98% blue, excellent grips, 10'' barrel, Manufactured in 1940 This is an original K98 bayonet with a matching serial numbered scabbard. The bayonet and scabbard are both have serial number 8587E. The single edge blade is in excellent condition with 98% of the blue finish remaining, it has very mild runner wear from the scabbard. The top of the flat edge is stamped 40, and the obverse Ricasso has COPPEL GmbH and the reverse ha the S/N 8587E. The wooden grooved grips are in excellent condition. The crossbar and the spine and pommel have slight edge wear (holster) The Pommel is stamped with two EAGLE/ WaW 253 Insp Proofs. The brown leather frog is in very good condition with mild flaking on the front of the frog. The scabbard is numbers correct and has scattered spotting. The ball on the tip of the scabbard has an EAGLE / WaA 253 Insp Proof, and a portatee., s/n 85xxE |
