| 8mm Mauser; 80% blue, good bore, good stock, 23.5'' barrel, Manufactured in Hungary for the occupying German forces, original blued finish, walnut stock, forend and handguard. Matching serial numbers. Stamped on top of the receiver with the code "jhv" and date code "42". Nazi military acceptance eagle/swaztika proofs on left side of barrel and receiver. Right side of receiver and barrel stamped with eagle/56 proofs. Bolt and small parts stamped with eagle/56 and WaA56 proofs. The bolt head has an electro-penciled matching number, the cocking piece and safety are both stamped "19", not matching the guns serial number of 9429. The right side of the buttstock is stamped with two eagle/WaA56 proofs. The bottom of the buttstock is stamped with both eagle/WaA56 and WaA/173 proofs, and the bottom of the forend is stamped with an eagle/WaA173 proof. The forend cap/bayonet lug is stamped with an eagle/173 proof. Original cleaning rod. Original leather sling in good condition, no legible markings. No import marks. The metal finish shows some area of thinning and browning, wood showing some handling. Mechanically fine. C&R/FFL, s/n 94xxl |
