| 8mm Mauser; 85% blue, very good bore, good stock, 23.25'' barrel, Manufactured in Austria by Steyr and issued mainly to the Luftwaffe. Original blued finish, walnut stock and handguard. All matching serial numbers including the trigger guard action screws. Stamped on top of the receiver ring with the Steyr code "660" and date "1939". Right side of receiver ring marked with three eagle/WaA623 proofs. Right side of stock butt is stamped with two eagle/WaA623 proofs and the Luftwaffe eagle/L proof. Bottom of stock stamped with a series of eagle/WaA623 proofs. Eagle/WaA623 proofs appear on the majority of the small parts as well. The bolt handle shank is marked with two eagle/63 proofs. Original unmarked cleaning rod and leather sling present. Also includes an original nazi proofed front sight/muzzle cover with hinged cap. The metal finish has areas of thinning and some slight browning. Mechanically fine. C&R/FFL, s/n 43xxb |
