| excellent grips, 9.75'' barrel, German WWII Dress Bayonet by Carl Eickhorn. It has a flat spine above a wide, single fuller and terminates in a spear point. The blade is in good condition, untarnished and retaining its original plating with only a few small nicks. The blade is marked on the Ricasso with the Carl Eickhorn sword and squirrel logo, witch dates it to between 1935 and 1941. The bayonet retains its leather buffer. The crossbar and birds head pommel are in good condition. The birds head has a false press stud and mortice slot as these bayonets were never intended for mounting on a rifle, the black checkered plastic grips are in excellent condition and held in place by twin rivets. There is some small movement between the blade and hilt. The black enameled scabbard is in good condition. The scabbard is with out dents or damage with minimal mild handling marks. The brown leather frog is in very good condition., |
