THE BLUING ON THE BARREL AND RECEIVER IS EXCELLENT. THE LIGHTLY ENGRAVED TRIGGER GUARD ASSEMBLY IS IN THE WHITE. THE BARREL IS 2/3rds ROUND AND 1/3rd OCTAGON WITH A FULL LENGTH RIB ON TOP. THE BORE IS BRIGHT WITH LIGHTLY WORN BUT STILL VERY GOOD RIFLING. THE ACTION HAS DOUBLE SET TRIGGERS AND THE RECEIVER IS FITTED WITH ERW BASES. THE CHECKERED WALNUT STOCK IS SOLID SHOWING LIGHT HANDLING MARKS. THIS IS A NICE EARLY 1900s EXAMPLE OF A GERMAN SPORTING RIFLE. IMPORT MARKED., s/n 37xx |
