| 24 Gauge; fair bore, good stock, 24'' barrel, Blue finish steel barrel, nickel plated frame, mounted in a walnut stock with metal buttplate. Marked on the right side of the barrel chamber with a French proof and St. Etienne. A date of 1853 is carved onto the right stock flat behind the frame. The metal shows wear with the barrel having turned mostly patina with light surface spotting and the frame retaining mainly only traces of the nickel finish. The barrel hinge and lockup is loose and the hammer will barely hold back, easily pushed off. SOLD AS IS for curio or display. Antique., |
