| Description: |
| 30 Luger; 90% blue, 30% straw, good bore, good grips, 3.75'' barrel, An unusual Luger pistol variation, very little is actually known about these Lithuanian contracted pistols. This example is a 1920 commercial manufactured by DWM in the post WW1 era, that was reworked by the small firm of Frankenschloss Suhl during the nazi years, the right side of the receiver is stamped "FRANKENSCHLOSS/SUHL", and the pistol has been re-proofed with eagle/N proofs, which appear on both sides of the receiver at the front edge, both front corners of the frame rails and on the bottom of the barrel. Also stick eagle/J proofs are located on the bottom of the barrel, the small lug on the bottom of the receiver, on the inside top of the frame, inside the frame recess near the takedown lever, on the right side of the rear toggle link, left side of the center toggle, and right side of the breechbolt. The pistol retains the original DWM monogram on top of the toggle and matching numbers in commercial style on the parts, along with crown/N proofs. There is also an additional number stamped on the right side of the receiver "321" which does not coincide with any other numbers on the gun. The top of the chamber is marked with the Lithuanian crest. The bottom of the barrel is also stamped "CAL. 7,65". The metal finish appears original as applied as a 1920 Commercial, and is fitted with checkered black plastic grips and has an fxo e/37 proofed black bottom magazine. Inside the left grip panel a name and date have been lightly carved "OBLT. MENT 23/8/43". The metal finish shows normal high edge holstering wear with a tiny spot of minor pin prick pitting on the left side of the muzzle ring. Mechanically fine. Rig, includes a black pebble grain soft shell leather holster. Between the two belt loops on the back of the holster is a nazi eagle/WaA745 (or 743) proof, hard to make out due the leather grain. The flap has a steel stud closure with upstrap to secure. The holster is in very good intact original condition. C&R/FFL, s/n 68xxr, Catalog Number D-605 |
