| 44 Caliber; excellent bore, very good+ grips, 9'' barrel, Custom built from scratch and antiqued Walker percussion revolver. Aged blued finish on barrel. Caseharened frame. Blued steel backstrap with brass trigger guard. This example is marked to A Company on the left sides of the barrel and frame and on the butt of the grip, and numbered No.3. Barrel marked on top of the breech area "ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW YORK CITY". Right side of the barrel marked "US/1847". Cylinder has 90% of the Texas Ranger and Indian battle scene showing light aging. The left side of the grip has a fairly sharp WAT inspector cartouche. No inspector initial on small parts, which if original a Walker in this condition would retain. The action functions well and the bore is bright and sharp. Likely hand made in the 50's-early 1960's by a well known faker of these early Colt's, again a well done and respectable representation for a collection at a fraction of the cost of an original., s/n 0xx |
