| 44-40 WCF; fair bore, 7 1/2'' barrel, Made in 1883. Frontier Six Shooter model, etched marking no longer visible on the left side of the barrel. Even light patina metal shows some evidence of cold blue finishing. Serial numbers match. Other markings are strong, single line Hartford address on top of the barrel. Left frame with patent dates in three lines. 44CF caliber designation mark on left side of the trigger guard. Original hard rubber factory eagle grips have worn checkering and details and a few minor edge chips. Mechanically this revolver is in excellent condition. The bore has sharp strong rifling, however has some pitting. Antique., s/n 882xx |
