PER FACTORY LETTER THIS COLT WAS SHIPPED ON DECEMBER 16, 1898 TO SIMMONS HARDWARE CO. IN ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI. IN 1998 THE OWNER HAD THE REVOLVER RESTORED BY AN UNKNOWN GUNSMITH WHO DID AN EXCELLENT JOB EXPECIALLY RECREATING THE CASE COLORS. THE BLUING SHOWS LIGHT WEAR AND THE 2 LINE ADDRESS ON THE BARREL ALONG WITH THE CALIBER DESIGNATION ARE SHARP AND CLEAR, THE CASE COLORS ARE SO WELL DONE THEY ALMOST LOOK ORIGINAL.
