| 45 Colt; 15% blue, Good bore, Good grips, 7.5'' barrel, COLT 1873 CAVALRY SAA "US" MARKED MADE IN 1887.THERE ARE TRACES OF BLUING REMAINING ON THE BARREL, HAMMER, TRIGGER GUARD AND GRIP STRAPS. THE FRAME HAS TRACES OF THE CASE COLORS. THE ONE PIECE GRIPS SHOW A FAINT INSPECTORS CARTOUCHE ON BOTH SIDES,VERY HARD TO MAKE OUT AND THE INSPECTORS INITIALS IN THE BOTTOM OF THE RIGHT PANEL RAC "RINALDO A CARR". THERE IS ALSO A RACK NO 351 ON THE LEFT PANEL. THIS COLT COMES WITH DOCUMENTATION NOTING THAT IT WAS ISSUED TO THE NEW YORK MILITIA PRIOR TO THEIR DEPLOYMENT DURING THE SPANISH AMERICAN WAR., s/n 1203xx |
