| 45 ACP; good bore, very good grips, 5'' barrel, 94% original parkerized finish and proper checkered plastic grips with large rings around the screw holes. Manufactured in 1944. Proper unmarked Colt blue finish magazine. Parts correct including the blued finish Colt barrel. The left side of the slide is stamped with the two-block two-line patent dates and Colt's address flanking the Rampant Colt logo. The left side of the frame is stamped with the inspector mark GHD with a P firing proof located below the magazine catch button. The right side of the frame is stamped with the ordnance escutcheon behind the grip panel, with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M1911A1 U.S. ARMY" stamped on the extension. The metal finish shows sharp edge wear and some thinning on the grip frame straps and grip safety. Bore has sharp rifling, showing light corrosion throughout., s/n 16990xx |
