| 38 COLT; 75% blue, excellent bore, good grips, 6'' barrel, U.S. Army contract, manufactured in 1903, with original blue finish and plain walnut grips. Marked on top of the barrel with the two line address and patent dates 1884-1895. The butt of the grip frame is marked "U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1903" above the serial number. The left side of the frame is stamped with a date of 1902 in front of the grip panel. Inspector marks J.E.H., L.E.B. and K.S.M appear on the left side of the frame as well. The finish shows wear with spotting overall and some areas of light surface rusting. The grips are overall good however show age and handling. The action works fine, however the trigger return is weak. Nice bore., s/n 2096xx |
