| 10 Gauge; 75% blue, excellent bore, good stock, 30'' barrel, Manufactured 1883-1895. Oriignal blue finish steel barrels, frame "in the white", mounted in checkered walnut. Boxlock with extractor and double triggers, latch release forearm, round knob grip stock with a 14 inch LOP, serrated plastic buttplate present. Stamped on top of the barrel rib "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.". This example has British proofing as well. Sling swivels added likely in England. The frame has some scroll and game scene engraving. Original ebony forearm tip with Deeley latch. The finish on the barrel shows some thinning and handling. The forearm has an old cleaned up chip on the left side near the frame. The stock has a repair at the front of the comb, well fitted. Mechanically fine with clean bores and tight barrel lockup. Antique, s/n 9xx |
