| 12 Gauge; very good bore, good stock, 30'' barrel, Manufactured in 1885. Damascus barrels with original thinned browned finish. Casehardened frame and lockplates, with some case color visible in the more protected areas. English scroll engraving with hunting dog scenes on both lockplates. Concave barrel rib with single brass bead front sight. Chambers measure 2 3/4 inches. Chokes gage Modified and Cylinder. Mounted in checkered walnut, stock with round knob grip, 14.25 inch length of pull with the original factory hard rubber buttplate. Matching serial numbers on the barrels, forearm plate and trigger guard tang. Ebony tip on forearm has a small chip and crack. Top of barrel rib is marked "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.". Mechanically fine with good barrel lockup. Antique, s/n 193xx |
