| Description: |
| Original walnut stock with handguard for the Chilean contract M1895 Mauser Rifles (small ring action). Serial numbered on the left side 5709. Includes the buttplate, lower sling swivel, lower band with swivel, lower and upper band springs. No other metal parts included. Serial number on handguard does not match the stock and the handguard is in slightly lesser condition, however matches in color relatively closely. No other significant markings or proofs. There is a tight 1 inch crack in behind the receiver tang cutout and an old arsenal repaired crack on the right side behind the lower band. Otherwise the stock has scattered fairly light dings and scuffs. No evidence of sanding or alterations. |
