| 8x58mmR; 95% blue, excellent bore, very good stock, 27'' barrel, This variation Swedish rolling block rifle is sometimes called by collectors the "Foresters Model", a conversion from an 1867-89 Rolling Block rifle to sporting configuration. Original action date 1874, with a conversion to 67/89 date of 1893 on the right side of the barrel. This rifle has all matching serial numbers with the exception of the breechblock. Blued finish barrel, casehardened frame, arctic birch stock and forend. The barrel has been shortened to length and re-crowned, the original front sight base has been modified and soldered to the barrel with the original inverted V front sight blade. The original ladder rear sight is retained. The left side of the buttstock has a hand carved date "1941". Mechanically fine with a bright sharp bore. Antique., s/n 36xx |
