| 303 British; 94% blue, good bore, good stock, 30.4'' barrel, Commercial production military pattern Long Lee-Enfield MKI* rifle manufactured by Birmingham Small Arms Co, stamped on the right buttsocket "B.S.A. Co". Original blued finish, stocked up in original walnut. Matching bolt and rear ladder sight. Retailer stamped on top of the barrel "ALEX. MARTIN GLASGOW". "E" stamped on top of the barrel knox. Standard military fixed inverted V front and rear ladder sights. This rifle is fitted with a BSA fully adjustable rear aperture sight which folds along the side when not in use. The sight adjustments function well. Complete with original stacking swivel, brass muzzle cover, magazine cutoff, bolt dust cover and volley sight. Includes the original rear volley sight aperture and spring which were removed for mounting the BSA sight. No.2 pattern magazine. The bolt head is EFD marked and inspector proofed and is a possible replacement. Other parts are not marked and are original to the rifle. The wood shows some handling dents dings and scratches. There is a minor crack at the front of the handguard. The bore shows strong rifling and has a tight muzzle using the "bullet test", however there is visible light corrosion throughout., s/n 353xx |
