| 577/45; 60% blue, fair bore, fair stock, 21.5'' barrel, MARTINI HENRY MkII FALLING BLOCK ARTILLERY CARBINE MADE AT BSA (BIRMINGHAN SMALL ARMS) DATED 1883 IN ANTIQUE FAIR CONDITION. THE BLUING ON THE BARREL, BANDS, TRIGGER GUARD AND LEVER SHOW WEAR BUT IS MOSTLY INTACT. THE RECEIVER APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN SCRUBBED AND RESTAMPED ON THE LEFT SIDE. THE BORE IS HEAVILY CORROSED WITH STILL VISIBLE RIFLING. THE WALNUT BUTTSTOCK IS SOLID AND SLIGHTLY LOOSE WITH A LEDGIBLE STOCK DISC ALONG WITH NUMEROUS DINGS AND SCRATCHES. THE FOREARM IS SOLID ALSO SHOWING NUMEROUS DINGS, SCRATCHES AND COMPRESSION DENTS., s/n 44 |
