| 72 Caliber; very good bore, very good stock, 13 3/8'' barrel, Flintlock cavalry carbine with saddle ring on the left side. Metal in the white, iron mounted walnut stock. Marked on top of the barrel "CARL HEISER" next to a crown/E proof. Parts are stamped with sets of two numbers, 85 and 35, which match on all numbered parts. The lock is stamped at the lower edge 853. The barrel removed is stamped along the left side upside down "3H25", and has two sets of "assembly" numbers pon the barrel and breech plug, 548 and 17*, which match. And the bottom of the barrel is stamped with a large roman number XIII. The stock is overall very good for its age, dings and scratches here and there. The bottom of the grip is stamped with a strong "CH" and the side of the cheekrest is legibly stamped "LNG". Ramrod appears original and is unmarked. The barrel band is held with pressure only. Lock assembly functions but the hammer spring is slightly weak, enough to not throw the frizzen fully forward. The round barrel is multi rifled, and is very good with shine and minor corrosion.
