| Lot of two (2) cane swords, both made in India. Both are nearly identical in material, construction and décor. Black painted wooden scabbards with heavy brass tips and hand carved decoration near the top and tip of each. Both have bone and carved ivory handles with knurled brass ends, the longer sword with with a brass pommel and the shorter with a silver pommel. The longer sword has a narrow 23 5/8 inch steel blade. The shorter sword has a narrow 14 3/4 inch steel blade. Both are complete and in overall good condition, showing age and some handling. Notice: Items with real elephant ivory will banned from sale beginning June 26, 2014. Private ownership is not illegal. Buy this now or never. |
