| 54 Caliber; fair bore, good stock, 8.5'' barrel, Manufactured by Asa Waters in Millbury Massachusetts and dated 1840. Round barrel with fixed brass blade sight. Metal in the white with blued trigger and frizzen spring. Brass pan. Walnut stock with faint inspector cartouche on left side flat. Iron mounts. Swivel mounted ramrod. Metal has some freckling and dark spotting. Barrel inspector marks over the left side JH/P. Action functions well. A Good representative example, fully functioning and original. |
