Aber was ist, wenn alle ausfallen? Was ist, wenn die Batterien leer sind? Es gibt ein Navigationsgerät, dem nie „der Saft ausgeht“ – die Karte und der Kompass. Aus diesem Grund haben wir den Scout Compass Mk2 entwickelt, der unser Ansatz zum universellen Kartenkompass darstellt. Für erhöhte Zuverlässigkeit ist der Kompass mit Flüssigkeit gefüllt. Um optimale Navigationsmöglichkeiten zu bieten, ist der Kompass mit einer drehbaren Lünette mit Winkelskala, Zentimeter- und Zoll-Linealen und 4 Kartenmaßstäben ausgestattet – 1:25.000, 1:24.000, 1:62.500 und 1:50.000. Der Kompass ist außerdem mit einer Kordel zum Aufhängen ausgestattet, damit er nicht verloren geht.
