Beschreibung Das Design des neuen Prodigy wurde durch das preisgekrönte LMF II inspiriert, ein weiteres Messer, das von Jeff Freeman von Gerber entwickelt wurde. Das Prodigy ist viel kleiner (25 cm Gesamtlänge), aber es hat sicherlich genauso viel Kraft wie sein Vorgänger. Die Klinge aus rostfreiem U.S. 420 HC-Stahl mit durchgehendem Erl ist kräftig und mit Keramik beschichtet, um die Korrosionsbeständigkeit zu verbessern und die optische Wirkung zu verringern. Der ergonomisch geformte Gummigriff sorgt für einen weichen, bequemen, aber sicheren Griff unter allen Bedingungen. Außerdem ist es MIRS-konform. Ähnlich wie das Messer ist auch die Scheide so konzipiert, dass sie den Sicherheitsstandards entspricht und über einen Daumenverschluss mit Reibungsauslösung verfügt. Geräusche werden dank einer geformten Softgrip-Beschichtung gedämpft, die, wie das ballistische Nylonmaterial, MIRS-konform ist. Sie ist außerdem MOLLE-kompatibel und wird mit einem Beingurt geliefert.
