Außerdem verfügt er über eine Sperrfunktion, die eine Aktivierung während taktischer Operationen, beim Transport oder bei der Lagerung verhindert. Die Schalteraufnahme ist für ST07-, SR07- und SR07-D-IT-Fernbedienungsschalter geeignet (separat erhältlich). Die DSE ist aus Aluminium der Luft- und Raumfahrtindustrie gefertigt, harteloxiert (Mil-Spec Typ III) und mit Dichtungen versehen, um Feuchtigkeit abzuweisen. Sie ist so gebaut, dass sie auch unter härtesten Bedingungen funktioniert.
