Die rutschfeste Griffstruktur sorgt für optimalen Halt, selbst in feuchten oder anspruchsvollen Bedingungen. Dafür sorgt der Kunststoff Proflex welcher für die Griffschalen in der Herstellung verwendet wird. Da eine Klinge immer offen steht, liefert EKA eine robuste Kunststoffscheide inkl. Gürtelclip gleich mit dazu. Die erste Klinge dieser Art brachte EKA bereits 2004 unter dem Namen E8 auf den Markt. Mit dem G4 kommt eine gravierende Neuerung hinzu, das Messer lässt sich jetzt komplett auseinandernehmen um die Klinge und die Griffschalen ohne Probleme zu reinigen.
