Il s'installe directement dans la glissière Gen5 sans modification. Glock fournit cette pièce comme référence officielle pour le remplacement lors de la maintenance ou de la révision des pistolets Gen5.Dans le cadre du tir sportif, cet extracteur est utilisé en IPSC Production, USPSA et GSSF où les Glock Gen5 sont autorisés. Il est remplacé systématiquement lors des entretiens complets de glissière ou après plusieurs dizaines de milliers de coups. Les armuriers le stockent pour les réparations sur G19 Gen5 et G17 Gen5 très répandus en compétition.
