Elles permettent d'assurer une meilleure stabilité du couple amorce/cheminée avant, pendant et après le tir. Avant le tir les amorces ne tombent plus accidentellement (même si elles ne sont pas pincées). Pendant le tir la flamme crée par l'amorce est redirigée vers l’avant, ce qui en optimise l'efficacité et réduit le risque de long feu. Après le tir les éclats d'amorces restent confinés dans la cale ce qui diminue le risque de blocage du mécanisme et les incidents de tir (particulièrement sur les colts). Avec le départ du coup la cale se déforme légèrement ce qui la rend facile à retirer. |
