Das luftgekühlte MG 42 beseitigte einige gravierende Nachteile seines Vorgängers und wurde wegen seiner Ausgereiftheit unter neuem Namen sogar noch nach dem Krieg eingesetzt. Alexander Losert beschreibt alle wichtigen Maschinengewehre aus deutscher Fertigung, die bis zum Ende des Zweiten Weltkrieges entwickelt und verwendet wurden. |
