| Hersteller Smith & Wesson Modell Mod 60 Baujahr 1970 Kaliber .38 Special / 9x29mmR Wunderschöner Smith & Wesson Model 60 'No-Dash', Kaliber .38 Special, mit kurzem 2-Zoll-Lauf und der Seriennummer R38502, aus den frühen 1970er-Jahren. Dieses besondere Stück zeichnet sich durch eine aussergewöhnlich umfangreiche Handgravur aus. Fein ausgearbeitete Arabesken, Ranken und florale Ornamente erstrecken sich über Rahmen, Lauf, Trommel sowie zahlreiche kleinere Flächen. Die im Inneren sichtbare Nummer 78255 ist eine interne Montagenummer, während R38502 die eigentliche Seriennummer der Waffe ist. Die Gravur weist die Merkmale einer zeitgenössischen kunsthandwerklichen Arbeit auf. Besonders interessant ist eine geheimnisvolle Markierung mit der Zahl '71', die zeitlich sehr gut zur Entstehungsperiode der Waffe passt. Vergleichbare Model-60-Revolver wurden Anfang der 1970er-Jahre unter anderem von R.E.I. Engravings in den USA graviert, wo renommierte Meistergraveure wie Hiroo Sugaya und Shiro Ogawa tätig waren. Die genaue Identität des Graveurs dieses Exemplars ist jedoch noch zu dokumentieren.
