| Deutsch: Eine wundersch?ne Nachbildung 1:1 einer geschnitzten Keule der ?stlichen Pr?rie, aus einer (sehr gro?en) Esche, deren Kugel in der Wurzel endet. Der Eschenstiel mit zwei dreieckigen Aussparungen, blau gef?rbt, der Kugelkopf feuergeschw?rzt und mit einem langem Metalldorn (mit Epoxidharz innen gesichert), Griff zur Befestigung ebenfalls an zwei Stellen durchbohrt, Oberfl?che simuliert Kampf- und Gebrauchsspuren. Verziert mit rotgef?rbem Hirschhaar in Messingkonus, am Griff mit Skalplocke in Blechkonus, blauen Glasperlen und Knochen Hairpipe Perlen; eine Kr?henfeder; mit Hirschleder und US Kunstsehne gesichert. Gesamtl?nge = 66,7 cm = 26,25 Zoll. Die urspr?ngliche Original-Kriegskeule wurde im Mai 2012 bei der Auktion Scinnerinc f?r 10.600 US-Dollar verkauft, siehe: https://www.skinnerinc.com/auctions/2596B/lots/162 (die Fotos wurden leider vor einiger Zeit vom Betreiber entfernt :-( Diese Original-Keule (die mir als Muster zum Nachbau diente) wird aber auch in John Baldwin?s Buch ?Indian War Clubs of the American Frontier? auf Seite 19 als ?ein sehr attraktive Kriegskeule? und ?als im Westen gesammelt? beschrieben... Diese lange Keule war auch ideal f?r den Kampf vom Pferd aus und w?re wegen des langes Eisendornes absolut t?dlich!!! - - - - - - - - English: A beautiful reproduction of an Eastern Plains Ball Headed Club 1:1 carved from an ash with ball ending in the root (from a huge ash)... The ash handle with two triangular cutouts, painted blue, the ball head pyro-blackened and with long metal spike (secured with expoxy in the hole), handle also pierced in two spots for attachments, on surface simulated marks of fight and use. Red colour dyed deer hair in brass cones decorated, on the grip ending with scalp lock in metal cone, blue glas beads, bone hairpipe beads, one crow feather; secured with deerskin and US imitation sinew. Total length = 66,7cm = 26,25 inch. The original war club (pattern for my work) was sold for $ 10,600 in May 2012 at the Auction Scinnerinc, watch for: https://www.skinnerinc.com/auctions/2596B/lots/162 (but unfortunatelly the pictures had been deleted some time ago by the provider) It is also described in John Baldwin?s Book "Indian War Clubs of the American Frontier" on page 19 as "a very attractive war club....collected as western". This long war club was ideal for fight from horseback and because of the long iron spike it would be absolutely deadly!!! |
