| ***DVD, M.A.S.H.*** Wenige Kilometer von der koreanischen Front entfernt, befindet sich in einer abgelegenen bergigen Gegend das Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (M.A.S.H.) - ein mobiles Feldlazarett, das im Allgemeinen nur MASH genannt wird. Zwischen Baracken, Zelten, Zäunen und notdürftig gebauten Kranken- und Operationsstationen verkündet Sgt. Major Vollmer (David Arkin), die neuesten Meldungen über einen Lautsprecher. Dabei verzettelt sich der junge Soldat des öfteren, bricht ab, verkündet unwichtiges Zeug oder verhaspelt sich. Überhaupt wirkt das gesamte Geschehen im Lazarett eher dem auf einer größeren Party zum 4. Juli, ähnelt einem Betriebsfest, auf dem Alkohol fließt und Drogen im Umlauf sind, die Beteiligten ihre Scherze machen, Männer hinter Kolleginnen her sind usw. Wenn die drei Ärzte Hawkeye (Donald Sutherland), Trapper (Elliott Gould) und Duke (Tom Skerritt) zwischendurch einmal operieren, wirkt dies, als ob eine Party ab und an durch geschäftliche Telefonanrufe unterbrochen wird. Danach geht man wieder zum Feiern und zum Spaßen über.
