Kapazit?t: Sechs Schuss. Lauf: 7,5 Zoll, rund (im Gegensatz zum achteckigen Lauf des 1851 Navy). Ladehebel: Das "creeping" oder Raddreh-Ladesystem (ratchet loading lever), das eine bessere Mechanik bot. Herstellung: Produziert von 1861 bis ca. 1873, mit einer Gesamtst?ckzahl von etwa 38.000. Design: Schlanker und eleganter als das 1851 Modell, mit einem Stahl- oder Eisen-Griffst?ck im Gegensatz zu Messing. Verwendung und Bedeutung Wurde sowohl im Milit?r (besonders bei Offizieren wie General McClellan) als auch zivil genutzt. Galt als eine der sch?nsten Colt-Designs und bot eine gute Balance aus Kraft und Handhabung.
