| Beschreibung zu Zündnadelgewehr Oberndorf M 1868 15,2 mm Kaliber 15,2 mm, Nummer 8803, nummerngleich. Vierfach gezogener, etwas matter Lauf mit gutem Zug-/Feldprofil, auf der Oberseite Rahmenvisier. Auf der Hülse Abnahmen, links Hersteller "Oberndorf" und Modellbezeichnung, rechts Jahreszahl "1869" und "1871". Nussholzschaft mit Eisen-/Messinggarnitur, auf dem Kolbenschuhlappen Truppenstempel "119.R.10.240.", Kolbenunterseite und linke Seite ebenfalls mehrfach gestempelt. Eiserner Putz-/Entladestock mit Kugelkopf. Eisenteile dunkel patiniert und etwas matt. Länge 134 cm. Obwohl über 24.000 Perkussionsgewehre M 1857 in Zündnadelgewehre 1857/67 umgeändert wurden, war damit der Bedarf für den Kriegsfall bei der Truppe noch nicht gedeckt. Daher wurde 1868 ein neues Zündnadelgewehr, das hier vorliegende M 1868, genehmigt und 12.000 Stück wurden in der Gewehrfabrik Oberndorf gebaut. Die Waffe ist etwa baugleich mit dem preussischen Zündnadelgewehr M 1862, hat aber das Schloss der Zündnadelbüchse M 1865. |
