Während sowohl die Gen 1 UBR® als auch die STR® mit TYP 1 Druckknopf-QD-Riemenbügelaufnahmen auf der linken Seite des Schaftes vorinstalliert sind, kann dieses Sling Mount Kit - TYP 2 auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite installiert werden, um zusätzliche Druckknopf-QD-Riemenbügel oder unsere eigenen Magpul® QDM hinzuzufügen. Für die Verwendung von beidseitigen Riemenbügeln an SGA®, MOE® Rifle, MOE® Fixed Carbine, MOE® AK, Zhukov-S, Hunter 700 und Hunter X-22 Schäften muss dieses TYPE 2 Kit in Verbindung mit dem optionalen TYPE 1 Kit verwendet werden. Die hochbelastbare, schwarz phosphatierte Stahlkonstruktion lässt sich leicht mit den Originalbeschlägen des UBR oder STR oder mit den im TYPE 1 Kit enthaltenen Beschlägen montieren.
