Dagger modell 1943, how to attach the strap (Created: 10.09.2019)

Since 1943 the dagger Mod. 43 is since standard with officers and higher NCOs. Often the strap has been removed and hasn't been properly reapplied to the dagger.

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to properly attach a batting to the Dagger Mod. 43:

1. Preparation

2. Insert the dagger with the number facing upwards into the scabbard, the attachement of the scabbard facing backwards.

3. Put the strap around the dagger according to the picture.

4. Lay the end of the strap upwards around the quillons.

-

5. Place the end of the strap over the dagger handle.

-

6. Pass the end of the strip behind the quillons.

-

7. Slide the glans of the strap through the end of the strap (view 1).

8. Pull the glans through, adjust the strap beautifully, done.
