Magazine types for the Swiss Army Pistol 75 (P75, SIG P220) (Created: 09.11.2025)

The Pistol 75 (SIG P220) was introduced in 1975 and has undergone various modifications. There are two main variants of the pistol and a total of twelve different types with more or less marginal changes (see GER: Varianten und Typen der Schweizer Armee-Pistole 75 (P75, SIG P220)).

The magazines for the Pistol 75 (SIG P220) were initially blued (i.e., black) and manufactured by SIG, but later on, metallic-colored magazines from Mec-Gar were used. The metallic-colored magazines were initially used by the GWK and Mil-Sich, and later on by regular pistol carriers as well.
From 1975 onwards, magazine pouches were issued, matching the holster in green leather and later in black leather. The magazine pouches were then omitted and the spare magazine was stored in a pocket of the combat uniform.
